COMMUNITY RULES

How we treat each other here

Seven rules, no legal language. If you've ever been in a good book club, you already know most of them.

  1. Rule 1

    Women 55 and over, verified

That's the whole door policy. Every member confirms she is a woman 55 or older and passes an ID check before she writes a single letter.

  2. Rule 2

    Platonic, always

No romance, no flirting, no matchmaking on anyone's behalf. This is friendship, and that's not a limitation - it's the point.

  3. Rule 3

    No selling of any kind

No fundraising, no multi-level anything, no promoting a business in the rooms or in letters.

  4. Rule 4

    Disagree freely, be unkind never

Argue about books, politics, casseroles. Be cruel to another member once and you'll hear from us.

  5. Rule 5

    Money stays out of it

Never send money, gift cards, or bank details to another member, however long you've been writing. Nobody here will ever have a good reason to ask.

  6. Rule 6

What's said in the private rooms stays there

Caregiving and Starting Over are closed-door conversations. Repeating them elsewhere ends a membership.

  7. Rule 7

    Every room is looked after

We keep an eye on every room for anything unkind or inappropriate, and we answer reports within one business day.
